Know before you go
Arrival, transportation, timing and policies—clearly explained before class day.
Check-in and the safety briefing are part of the experience. Please arrive at least five minutes early so you can settle in. The class lasts approximately 90 minutes and starts promptly. Allow additional time for your journey to and from Galleon Beach.
Wear comfortable clothing and closed or secure footwear where practical. We supply your Academy apron.
Phones and photos are encouraged throughout the class. Please keep personal items clear of the hot still and work area.
Guests must be 18 or older to drink. Never drive after drinking. Arrange a designated driver, taxi or our shared transportation.
Optional shared transfer
Transportation requires at least two paying passengers. Pick-up is usually scheduled one hour before class; your exact time will be confirmed.

Cancel at least 48 hours before your class for a refund. Cancellations within 48 hours and no-shows are not refundable, except for the weather and cruise-ship circumstances below.
If Academy of Rum cannot safely operate the class because of weather, we will issue a full refund.
Cruise guests receive a full refund when their ship cannot dock in Antigua or changes itinerary at the last minute.
Classes begin on time out of respect for all guests. Arriving late does not guarantee participation or a refund.
