The guided masterclass lasts approximately 90 minutes. Arrive at least five minutes before the start, and allow additional time for your journey to and from Galleon Beach.

Yes. Each participant receives the six-rum tasting and a certificate. A shared-bottle pair makes one bottle together. An individual booking includes one bottle for that guest.

No. Your class bottle is included. Souvenir shirts and additional handcrafted rum are available to purchase separately at our mini distillery.

Contact the Academy with your resort, class date and number of passengers to request transportation and confirm your pick-up details. Shared transfers require at least two paying passengers; if the count drops below two, the transfer is cancelled.

You must be at least 18 years old to consume alcohol. Please bring government-issued photo identification if requested.

Classes operate daily at 11:00 AM, 2:30 PM, 5:00 PM, subject to live availability.

The classroom accommodates a maximum of 20 participants per class.

A guided tasting of six handcrafted rums for each guest, water, apron use, the complete making process, a personalised label and a certificate for every participant. Individual bookings include one bottle per guest; shared-bottle pairs make one bottle together.

Yes. Two guests share the complete experience and make one bottle together for US$150 plus 17% ABST (US$175.50 total per pair). An individual place includes one bottle for US$99 plus 17% ABST (US$115.83 total).

Some rums or ingredients contain dairy, nuts and spices. Disclose all allergies before tasting. Your instructor can recommend items to avoid, but an allergen-free environment cannot be guaranteed.

Yes. Each table has a live hot still. Guests receive a safety briefing and must not touch the still.

Absolutely. We encourage photos throughout the class. Keep phones and personal items safely away from the working area.

No. Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited in the mini distillery.

Yes. Shared transportation is US$25 per person with a minimum of two passengers. Pick-up is usually one hour before class, and drivers wait no more than five minutes.

Cancel at least 48 hours before class for a refund. Full refunds are provided if Academy of Rum cancels because weather prevents the class, or when a cruise ship cannot dock or changes itinerary at the last minute. Other late cancellations and no-shows are not refundable.

Please arrive at least five minutes early. To respect guests who arrived on time, the class will not be delayed for latecomers.

Drink responsibly and never drive after consuming alcohol. Use a designated driver, taxi or pre-booked transportation.
